Created from items in my scrap heap. A true piece of “scrap art” ready for front yard prominence!
The butterfly body is a large wood drill welded to part of a shovel head which is topped with brass knobs for the eyes. Wings are old car seat springing and the legs are smaller wood drills. The leaves are fashioned from wheat harvester “fingers”. The base is a steel disc and the thistle flowers are made from bed base mesh enwrapped in spring coils.
Alongside is a similar example of a butterfly on a thistle.
