Dancing Brolga (sold)

November 28, 2017

This Brolga is dancing in habitat of simulated wet land.

Based on the wagon wheel tyre, I’ve simulated a wet land habitat of reeds and marsh.  The circles are wagon wheel hub retainers that used to hold the wooden hub together.

The body is car coil springs and a suspension wishbone mounting a neck of exhaust pipe and plumage of finely fluted roofing iron.  The legs are harvester ‘fingers’ and steel shafting.  The knees are tractor parts.  The feet are harvester fingers.   Welding is by Mig and gas bronzing.

When the wind blows the brolga “dances”!
