Frill Neck Lizards defend with a fierce display of their neck frill which can be up to 30 cms wide. Using a photo of such a display, I’ve depicted my frill neck lizard with a fan cowling!
His body is made of an auger from an old wheat harvester tipped with a harrow tine as a tail. The mouth is formed using an exhaust flange and his tongue is a big chain link. His legs are old railway spikes with claws of garden rake prongs. I welded his eyes to shape. The finish is Penetrol which inhibits further rusting while giving an attractive sheen.
