Goannas are predatory lizards, fast runners and great climbers.
Made entirely from scrap steel and cogs. The body and head are pieces of exhaust pipe cut to shape. Legs of spanners and feet of construction screws give the goanna it’s ‘on guard’ stance. Quirky rear end of cogs and bearings attach a sweeping tail of chain welded to shape.
The eyes are “hooded” to look menacing. You honestly get the feeling that this goanna’s got you in his sights!
This is another goanna I made in a similar style.
