Kookaburra (sold)

November 28, 2017

With a number of requests for kookaburras, I made one for the mantel piece.  Not every one has a garden.  Did you know that kookaburras will kill and eat snakes?

The cultivator spring forms both the body and the head outline.  Bedding mesh (do you remember the old stlye beds with saggy mattresses?) forms the wings and plumage over the head.  The eyes are wine caps and the legs are spanners cut to length.  Clutching the wood mount are the construction screws; he balances on his tail.

  • Size
25 cms long, 22 cms high
  • Materials
cultivator spring, bedding mesh, square tubing, spanners, construction screws, wine caps, wood mount
