Emu (sold)

October 14, 2018

On a Mission is a silhouette capturing the outline of a “bird”.  The base is cut from a discarded lpg gas cylinder and painted matt black.  The legs are chain with each link welded to make it rigid.  They top cultivator tine “feet”.  The body is heated forged and shaped car suspension springing.  The “eyes” are two outer housings of roller bearings and the “beak” is a heavy hook commonly used on chain for a horse drawn wagon.  It’s quirky and needs imagination.  The stride reminds me of the Johny Walker advert!
