Sheep in the Field (personal)

November 28, 2017

Merino sheep wool is white only after processing.  In the paddock it is a dusty brown, often laden with prickles.  Shearing is done once a year.

Similar to the ‘grazing sheep’ , I started construction with a re-bar back bone and legs on which I hung cut pieces of corrugated iron secured with pop rivets about every 4-5 cms apart.  On the base of each foot is a pipe fitting to stabilize  the sheep in the mulch.  Obviously the contented expression comes from a full belly of my lawn!

  • Size
95 cms long, 85 cms high, 30 cms wide
  • Materials
old corrugated roofing iron, re-bar, pipe fittings
